E-substances

E-substances are additives designed to make food more attractive by improving the color, taste and consistency. Mostly, so-called e-substances are found in ready-to-eat meals, baked goods and other products, which thereby gain better taste and appearance. E-substances are identified by E-numbers on the respective products.
