Quantum physics

Quantum physics is concerned with the behavior and interaction of minute particles and seeks to explain the phenomena produced by these minute particles during experiments.

During experiments, molecules and smaller particles only give results when they appear in certain amounts and proportions. In physics, the proportion needed to cause a change of state in a system is called quanta.

A meaningful distinction of these dimensions is usually not possible, because the same objects behave either like a particle or a wave. This effect is also called wave-particle duality.
